We want to help you grow. Here are a few helpful challenges to get you jumpstarted.
You can find helpful links within the challenges as well.

1 :: Read The Bible

Here are a few helpful hints.

  • The point is to be consistent. Start by asking God to show you something as you read.

  • 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

2 :: Attend Church

For 5 Sundays in a row, don’t miss a weekend experience.

  • There is so much good that can come out of worshiping with other Christians.
  • Hebrews 10:24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

3 :: Pray for Yourself

For 21 days, talk with God.

  • Set aside a few minutes a day and just talk to him. Ask him to point out things in your life that need to change.
  • Then take a second and just listen to him.
  • Ask him to fill you with His Spirit.
  • Psalm 27:14 Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

4 :: Pray for Someone Else

For 21 days, pray for someone other than yourself.

  • It’s perfectly fine to keep praying for yourself… (please do). But in addition to that, challenge 4 is for you to pick someone and pray for them.
  • Talk to God about that person. Ask him to bless them.
  • 1 Timothy 2:1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

5 :: Worship

For 21 days, set aside a few minutes a day to do nothing but worship God.

  • Put on some worship music and begin to praise God.
  • Check out the set list from the previous Sunday. You could do this in your car, at home, or even as a family.
  • 1 Chronicles 16:23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.

6 :: Habit Replacement

For 21 days, pick one bad habit and replace that time with one of the above challenges.

  • Pray and ask God to show you what habits you need to replace.
  • Sometimes we don’t see things the way He sees them.
  • Use the time the bad habit took up to do one of the new habits you’re creating.

7 :: Find Accountability

Find someone you can be accountable to.

  • This might take some time. Don’t tell all your business to everyone. Find another Christian that you can trust and ask them to hold you accountable.
  • Join a connect group.
  • Ecclesiastes 4:10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

8 :: Serve

For 21 days, serve someone in some way.

  • It doesn’t have to be much. Find a simple way to serve someone. Join one of our serve teams or volunteer for an event.
  • Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

9 :: Give

For 2 months, practice giving.

  • Give of your time, your abilities, and your money.
  • Check out our Giving Challenge for more information on giving.
  • Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

10 :: All In

Now it’s time to put it all together.

  • Read your Bible, Pray, Join Your Church, Worship, Stay Connected with a Group, Serve, and Give.

One final thing. Remember there was only one person to ever walked this earth that was perfect, and that was Jesus. You will make mistakes. Don’t let that discourage you. Just get up and with God’s help, keep moving forward.

Proverbs 24:16 says “Though a righteous person falls seven times, he will get up”. Look at it this way… You’re one ‘get up’ from being righteous. And the best part is that God is the one who will pick you up.

Now it’s your turn. Take the Grow Challenge and see where God leads you.
